This large rug is all hand spun wool. The white and brown wool are undyed, natural colors. The gray hues are either carded gray wool or wool from gray sheep and not carded. The red is colored with synthetic dyes and the soft tans are either natural or synthetic dyes. The powerful border of a Greek key contains the classic 4-cornered storm pattern. This pattern appears to have a humanoid representation with the head and arms. The other elements surrounding the 4-corner pattern are geometric pictorial elements with unknown significance other than the water beetle at the upper and lower ends. The weaving is fine and the abrash (color variation) in the gray field very pleasing. The elongated 4 partitioned diamonds ending with feet at each tip makes for a powerful graphic element.

Shipping

In the Continuous U.S. and Canada, most Items will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail, UPS, or Federal Express.If paying by credit card, items will be shipped within 3 business days after receipt of payment. If paying by check, shipment will be made within 3 days after check has cleared, usually 7-10 days. Unless previously agreed, customer will be charged for the shipping and Insurance. Items on the website designated as free shipping will not be charged for shipping and insurance costs.

Inspection Policy

In the Continuous U.S. and Canada, with every purchase we allow for a provisional 14 day inspection period. If for any reason you do not want to keep an item that you have purchased, simply return the item in original condition within 14 days of receipt. After inspection, you will be refunded the purchase price. Return shipping not included.

Each of our pieces is unique and carefully photographed. If we feel that the returned piece is in any way damaged, or different than the piece that we originally sent, we will return the item to you and no refund will be offered or made.
