Early Brass Tacked Holster For Single Action Revolver
Regular price
$2,250.00
This antique-style Western leather gun belt and holster rig is a classic example of late 19th-century frontier craftsmanship, often referred to as a "spotted" rig due to its decorative brass studs. The holster is a Mexican Loop style, a design that emerged in the 1870s featuring a wide "skirt" or backing piece with slots that allow the holster body to be securely looped over the belt. This specific set is distinguished by ornate, hand-applied brass studs in a sunburst pattern, a popular customization of the era that reflected the owner's status and personal flair. The wide belt includes a row of cartridge loops for quick reloading and a simple brass heel bar buckle, typical for a rugged, period-authentic "cowboy" rig.
