Making Medicine, aka. David Oakerhater, (1844 -1931) was a Southern Cheyenne (1844 -1875). and is well known for his ledger art. Early drawings were mostly of the Native American Life. He was imprisoned at Ft. Marion from 1875 to 1878 after being captured during the Red River War in 1875.
